Lost Rocket Redux
When it comes to rockets, Lost Surfboards might as well be an aerospace company. It all started with the OG Lost Rocket, a 5’3″ shortboard shaped from a broken blank by Budroe for Shane Beschen’s baby son, Noah, to learn on. Shane tried the board out himself and ended up loving it and brought it to Lost to have the template refined. The result was a wave-catching machine featuring a wide forward outline, rounded rails, a flat deck, insanely low entry rocker, and an iconic wide rocket tail.
Shortly after, Lost began making various tweaks to the classic rocket surfboard, resulting in the V2 Rocket, the V3 Rocket, the Pocket Rocket, the Grocket, and most recently, the Rocket Redux.
The Nitty-Gritty

The new 2020 Rocket Redux retains all of the original Rocket’s designs and details and features some modern tweaks that offer a serious performance boost, including:
- A low and fast entry rocker that is counterbalanced by a hyper-extended tail curve, offering down the line drive and precise turning.
- A straight centerline stringer with curved rail rocker giving the board unparalleled lift and liveliness.
- A hooked diamond rocket tail and parallel outline providing speed and allowing for supreme performance in critical sections, adding bite and hold in firm, rear-footed carves.
The Redux is currently only offered in PU, but will be available inLost’s new Diamond Carbon Wrap with Flex to Volume construction April 2020 (pictured below).

Is This The Right Board For You?
The Rocket Redux is optimal for surfers of nearly all skill levels. New surfers or those transitioning to a shortboard will want to ride this board in a longer length to maintain volume and paddle-ability. Intermediate to advanced surfers can ride this model at a much shorter length than their standard shortboards due to its compacted performance template. Expect down-the-line speed, easy carving, and tons of paddle power from this model!
What Kind of Waves Is This Board For?
The Redux was designed for average conditions (thigh to head-high) but can handle larger surf at beach breaks or point breaks. Whether the waves are mushy, hollow, firing, or sub-par, the Rocket Redux is a powerful, playful shred stick designed to make any session a fun time.
